Author Note: Featured artist ANDRES LOOMIS was born in 1892 in Syracuse, New York, but was raised in Zanesville, Ohio. At age 19, he studied at the Art Students League in New York, in 1915, he moved to Chicago to work in a nart studio and continued his education at the Chicago Art Institute. After serving in WWI, Andrew worked for several advertising agencies before opening his own studio in downtonw chicago. In 1935, his artwork appeared on the cover of the Saturday Evening Post. Andrew taught at the American Academy of Art in Chicago during the 1930s, and the passed away in 1959.
